No need to say sorry Sylvia, I can understand how upset you are as you are about to lose a valued and loveable member of your family, even though you know in your heart it is the kindest thing to do.
I'll be praying for you and Rowan and sending lots of hugs for both of you.

Love, Doreen xx

So very sorry to read your post Sylvia.

My sincere sympathy to you. I hope the vet is more sympathetic when he puts him to sleep and I hope you find the strength to be with him. I have had a lot of dogs over my lifetime and it is such a gentle thing and to see a suffering dog so peaceful can give you some comfort.

We only have them for a little while but they make such an impression on our lives.

Remember the happy times.

You and Rowan will be very much in our thoughts and prayers.

Warmest wishes, Ann

Oh Sylvia, I`m so sorry about your collie, Rowan. It`s so sad when any much-loved pet has to be put to sleep. When our Springer spaniel went, the house seemed very quiet, and we missed him badly. Now our Golden Retriever is 12, and getting slow.

It`s a shame your vet was so clinical - he must know how you will be feeling and could have showed some understanding.

Thinking of you,

Kathleen x

Dear Sylvia

Only just picked up on this- my heart goes out to you, I've had to make the difficult trip to the vets in the past, and it's awful . Pleas dont feel you need to appolgise forgoing on-you need comfort at a time like this

I'm sure the vet wasn't being intentionally cold and harsh- maybe he sensed how difficult it was going to be for you, and was trying to keep it unemotional? I remember when I took my beloved bunny I couldn't even face going into the surgery with her- I just signed the form , handed her over and left.

Our pets certainly are part of our families, and are much loved and missed. I know it won't make it any better at the moment, but remember that Rowan had a wondeful life with you.

Thinking of you

Much love

Maria x
